The adrenal glands also known as suprarenal glands are endocrine glands that produce a variety of hormones including adrenaline and the steroids aldosterone and cortisol. Each gland has an outer cortex which produces steroid hormones and an inner medulla. The adrenal cortex itself is divided into three zones: the zona glomerulosa , the zona fasciculata and the zona reticularis. The adrenal cortex produces three main types of steroid hormones : mineralocorticoids , glucocorticoids , and androgens.

Adenoma adrenal. Tumor benigno. Objective: We report the case of a myelolipoma of the adrenal glands. He underwent laparoscopic adrenalectomy. The pathological study confirmed the diagnosis of adrenal myelolipoma. Conclusions: The myelolipoma is a rare tumor composed of hematopoietic elements in different maturation stages and without histological changes, combined with mature adipose tissue in varying proportions. Most are incidental findings during radiologic complementary.

Treatment should be tailored to each particular case. Surgery is indicated when the mass exceeds the size cm or when it is functioning. Key words: Myelolipoma.

Correspondence to:. The anatomical results showed that the adrenal gland in Bactrian camel had a typical blood supply and innervation. Surprisingly, we found that there was a novel connection mainly consisted of fibrous tissue, blood vessels and nerve bundles between the adrenal gland and the kidney in Bactrian camel, and we named it fibrous tissue-blood vessels-nerve bundles FBN bundle. To the best of our knowledge, this FBN bundle was the first reported in Bactrian camel, and not yet observed in other animals. While, its functions and mechanisms should be studied further. We speculated that a direct function of this novel path might be to strengthen the communication of the adrenal gland and the kidney.

Objective: Adrenal myelolipoma is a rare benign tumor, well limited, variable in size, composed of fatty and hematopoietic tissues, the finding of which is usually incidental. If they reach a big size they may produce the feeling of abdominal mass, pain, neighbour organs compression and acute intratumoral or retroperitoneal hemorrhage. Methods: We report the case of a year-old male admitted to the hospital with acute abdominal pain. CT scan with IV contrast and adrenal biopsy were performed. Results: Radiological findings: 9 x 10 cm right adrenal mass, well defined, hypodense, with a small calcification in its posterior area. Pathologic findings: benign tumor, encapsulated, with a mixture of mature fatty tissue and hematopoietic cells.
