I have always felt Lego sets were too expensive as my son builds them so quickly but he loves them. That being said he was thrilled with this set and loved it. He is 11 and built it in a day with no problems. I purchased this set for my 10 year old niece as a Christmas Gift and on Christmas Day she was so excited about, this particular set until she immediately began putting it together right then and there. I received this set three days exactly after I placed the order, shipping was very fast.

I love shopping online from Walmart and using the site to store option. Thanks Walmart. This was a birthday request from my 7 year old grandson. He was so excited just unwrapping the package, it was so big!

He worked on this for hours, pretty much "reading the directions" himself. What a great addition to his ever-growing collection of Star Wars Legos! This is a great set because Lego finally have the time to do the malevolence from star was the clone wars. It is a great set because 2 out the 6 figures you get are new and they are Padme amidala and a new battle droid commander. The features are a rail jet, removable lid and flick fire missiles.

All and all this is a great set. Finally lego had the time to come out with a seperatist ship "a decent sized one" i like this set because you get a new battle driod commander the only bad thing about this lego is in the front you don't have anywhere to put greivious's lightsabers!!!!!!!!!! One of the reasons is that my favorite character is in it: General Grievous.

Another great thing is the 12 flick missiles it comes with. Pros: characters, lightsabers, carrier handle Cons: price, time it took to build. Always a big fan of Star Wars, even the Lego sets.. Prayers answered, but the only thing i dont like was that they should have incorporated the light bricks into it instead of flick missles It sounded like it would take forever but since it was so big i couldn't believe that I built it!

I think the model is very good and I think the characters were very cool. My favourite character was General Grievous. It was pretty amazing how it worked. I can't say how awesome the ion cannons are! The cargo hold is pretty cool, pretty big. Very detailed. The feature of the top coming off for easy access to the command center is the best idea ever.

The hinges would come off and he would have to put them back on. But the Malevolence is much better and easier. Great Job Lego! Can't wait until the new Republic Gunship comes out.

It's a long drive but worth every mile! It's great to finally have a capital ship for the separatists. Bringing such a large ship down to a playable scale couldn't have been easy. This set was a straight-forward build, if your yr old has building experience they shouldn't have a problem putting this together.

Shortcomings: -This would've been the perfect opportunity to include at least one MagnaGuard. We could've lived without the battle droid fillers. The "hovertrains" really didn't add much to the set. One, or both of them, could have been removed to make room for more troops or some other feature. On the plus side: -Fans of the flick-fire missiles will like the set-up on this set.

The rotating missile launch system works very well and you get pretty good range with them too. This is a great addition to your Separatist fleet. While it doesn't really have a "swoosh factor", it still looks cool and is a lot of fun.

And it's honestly not very good. It's good to finally have a Seperatist flagship, but the set isn't that great. The minifigures are very good. Even though it should've came with a second battle droid, it did come with Count Dooku and General Grievious.

Both are quite rare these days, and they're vital to you Star Wars collectors out there. Anakin and Padm'e are fairly rare too. It seems like Lego is forgetting Padm'e.

Not to change the subject, but I think it's wierd that in Revenge of the Sith, she doesn't do much until the very end, but she's the whole reason for a lot of the things that happened. Anyway, the minifigs may be good, but the rest of the set? Not so much. For starters, the only weapons on the ship are the cannons on the sides, and cannons that face forward are vital to a combat spaceship.

Also, there's only 1 room in the ship. I guess the storage areas for the tool sleds count, but the main room is the only one that seems like one. You can fit Dooku, Grievous, and both droids in there, but it lacks detail. You can totally tell where the inside skeleton is, and only a battle droid can clip onto the pilot's seat. The thing on the back I assume it's meant to be a command bridge breaks off rather easily.

All the hatches open up rather nicely. The play experience isn't that good. Since there's only one legitimate room, it's a little hard to fit more than 3 or 4 minifigs inside without having to worry about them sliding to where you don't want them, especially when you have a space battle that involves a lot of rocking around. Overall, the set isn't good.
