I think you can use it, but you cannot program it. But some other controllers have a more complete DCC functionality and can program decoders like the , too. Regards Tom "In all of the gauges, we particularly emphasize a high level of quality , the best possible fidelity to the prototype , and absolute precision. You will see that in all of our products. It does not work with the CS2 and I am trying to find out the techical reasons for this.

I am sure that is part of the issue. Originally Posted by: kiwiAlan I don't know if the cs2 can or can't do 14 step mode.

Did you try the decoder with a CS2 or are you asking before trying it? I assume the loco should be operable. If some loco functions can only be triggered through serial mode then they most likely won't be available when using a CS2.

I had had the MTS2 for more than 10 years so it was time to embrace the latest technology. You cannot post new topics in this forum. You cannot reply to topics in this forum. You cannot delete your posts in this forum.

This only my surmise, I don't know if the cs2 can or can't do 14 step mode. The CS2 supports 14 step mode. For some reasons I cannot understand it supports 14 speed steps only for short addresses, but the support is there. Other controllers with more complete DCC functionality also support 14 speed steps for long addresses.

Many thanks, could it be that there is an issue with serial commands. I understand that the CS2 can only deal with parallel ones. This is something that needs to be confirmed.
