The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the molecular organization of cell structures, their function and dynamics. Basic knowledge concerning cellular skeleton, cytokinesis and the role of motor proteins in maintaining the structure and function of the cell.
The nucleus and genome organization. Chloroplasts, mitochondria and peroxisomes as call energy system. The biosynthesis of proteins and membranes, post-translational modifications, intracellular vesicular traffic. Another objective is to provide students with current knowledge about cell cultures in vitro. Important issue is to facilitate understanding of the molecular aspects of cellular processes regulation by examples from pathology.
